Undersea Adventure

Undersea Adventure

Good afternoon stampers!  I'm excited to share today's project featuring a new new, soon-to-be-released bundle...it's so much fun!

You all know my favorite thing to put on any project is texture so with a name like Sea of Textures, you can pretty much bet it would be high up on my list of new sets to order.  From the stamp images to the coordinating framelits, this bundle is LOADED with cool textures!

To create the background for this card, I used one of the texture stamp images.  I sprayed a piece of watercolor paper with water, inked up the image with Coastal Cabana ink, spritzed it lightly with water and then stamped it two or three times before repeating the process, until the entire piece was covered.  I LOVE the way it turned out!

Once the paper was completely dry, I stamped the seaweed and the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink.  I cut three of the coral pieces from Grapefruit Grove cardstock and lightly stamped it with the same texture stamp as the background with Grapefruit Grove ink.  The octopus is stamped in Highland Heather ink onto the same color cardstock and cut with the coordinating framelit.  I layered all these pieces with mini glue dots and then layered onto a piece of Tranquil Tide.

My favorite framelit in this set is the netting I used in the background...I can see using this piece on a lot of projects in the future!  I also used a piece of a new designer series paper called Tranquil Textures.  Featuring colors like Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake and Tranquil Tide, these are gorgeous papers with beautiful, soothing textures.

To finish it up, everything is layered onto a Tranquil Tide card base and a splatter of Wink of Stella.

I'll be back on Thusrday with another project....and we'll be just one day away from the new catalog release!

Until next time...happy stampin'!
