Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

I was so excited to participate when I saw that Janet Wakeland was putting together the Ultimate Pink Blog Hop in honor of Pink October for Breast Cancer Awareness...the idea to cover Pinterest in pink today is FABULOUS!  If you're blog hopping today, make sure to pin all the pink you see!

Because the idea is to quickly hop from blog to blog, I will post my usual Step by Step instructions at the bottom of this post.  Happy hopping!

Step by Step

To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:

4-1/4" x 11" Blushing Bride

1-1/4" x 4" Blushing Bride Glimmer paper

4" x 4"  Blushing Bride DSP from Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack

Scrap Silver foil (enough to cut two hearts), scrap Blushing Bride glimmer paper (enough to cut "hope"), scrap Whisper White, Blushing Bride and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper

1)  Cut all pieces needed using Big Shot...two hearts out of Silver Foil with heart die from Sunshine Wishes and "hope" from Blushing Bride glimmer paper (die also in Sunshine Wishes), and four accent pieces from Dazzling Diamonds (I used a die from the Flourish Thinlits set).  Punch three flowers from Pink Pirouette cardstock using the Petite Petals punch.  I scrunched the flowers a little to give them dimension, used a blender pen with Blushing Bride ink to add a little color to the center of the flowers, then lightly sponged the edges.  Add a silver Metallic Enamel shape to the center of each flower.

2)  Adhere 1-1/4" x 4" Blushing Bride Glimmer paper to left side of card front.  Punch several 1/2" circles from Whisper White cardstock.  On the BACK side of the 4" x 4" Blushing Bride DSP, adhere circles to left edge to create a scallop on the front side.  Adhere DSP to card front.

3)  Adhere doily.  Adhere two hearts together (offset slightly), then attach them over the doily with small bits of Stampin' Dimensionals.  Attach Dazzling Diamond accent pieces and flowers to heart using Glue Dots.  Adhere "hope" to card front using Fine-Tip Glue.

I used the following products on this project:
