Global Design Project #057 - Thoughts & Prayers

Global Design Project #057 - Thoughts & Prayers

It's time once again for a Global Design Project, and it's a color challenge!  I needed to use these colors in my project:

I have to was a CHALLENGE!  These are really great colors, and I even like them together...I just struggled with WHAT to use them with!  I feel like I cheated a little because I used so much gray on my card, but I did incorporate the three required colors so I'm calling it all good.  *smile*  Click here to head over and see all the great projects posted by the talented designers, and check out the other submissions, too!  Maybe even submit your own!

Step by Step

To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:

4-1/4" x 11" Basic Gray (card base)

3-3/4" x 5" Blushing Bride

3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Basic Gray

2-3/4" x 3-5/8" Smoky Slate

Scrap Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry to cut flowers and leaves from thinlits

1)  Use Big Shot and Flourish thinlits to cut flowers and leaves from Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  Use Big Shot and Brick Wall to emboss 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Basic Gray cardstock.

2)  Stamp sentiment on to Smoky Slate cardstock, using Basic Gray ink.  Stamp speckle image on to Smoky Slate, stamping off on to scratch paper first to lighten image.  Stamp speckle image on to Basic Gray brick image, using Basic Gray ink (no need to stamp off, first).  Sponge edges of both brick piece and sentiment piece lightly with Basic Gray ink.

3)  Adhere Blushing Bride cardstock to card base, then brick piece, then sentiment.  Apply flowers and leaves with Fine-Tip glue.  Add a pearl in to the center of each flower.

I used the following products on this project:

Beautiful flowers with the colors this week. The texture of the basic grey stone is great with the flowers. Thank-you for taking the GDP challenge! – Krista Frattin from Canada
