The project I am sharing with you today was one I did with things I bought in my pre-order way back when the new catalog came out in June.  I rarely use gray but I was searching for a new color combination...I paired it with Watermelon Wonder and thought it worked beautifully!  I think I need to use gray more often!  This was also my first attempt at a shaker card and I did learn one very important thing...don't over-fill your shaker because it won't shake very well!  The set I used is called Confetti Celebration.  It has 10 pieces, all perfect to create a variety of Birthday/Celebration projects!

Step by Step

1)  Stamp Time to Party image with Watermelon Wonder ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".  You'll want to stamp the image centered, but toward the top of the cardstock.  Stamp the star image onto Calypso Coral cardstock using Watermelon Wonder ink.  Fussy cut the star.

2)  With a piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, use your Big Shot and the Layering Squares framelits to create a frame.  Use the Sprinkles punch to create confetti for the inside of your shaker card...I used smoky slate and Watermelon Wonder cardstock.  To create the shaker, adhere a piece of window sheet to the backside of the frame.  Adhere strips of Foam Adhesive Strips to the underside edges of your window.  Add your confetti.  Adhere the white, stamped piece to the back...you now have a shaker!

3)  Adhere the star to the front of the shaker, then the whole piece will be attached to a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock cut to 3-1/4" x 3-1/4", then layered onto a Basic Gray card front (cut 4-1/4" x 11).  I stamped the Happy Birthday image in Basic Black and then added strips of washi tape from the Affectionately Yours washi collection.

I think this is a really fun way to say Happy Birthday!

Don't have everything you need to complete this project?  You'll find all the supplies I used below!

Until next time...happy stampin'!
