Sneak Peek for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Sneak Peek for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this month's Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop!  If this is your first visit to my blog, thank you for visiting and please feel free to come back anytime.  I'm happy you've stopped by!

This month we are giving you some sneak peeks at what's coming up in the 2018 Holiday catalog which will go live on September 5.  Oh my gosh, soooooo many beautiful new things to love...my wish list is so long!  Right at the top though, is this beautiful set called Country Home, filled with gorgeous images perfect for fall and some really nice sentiments, too!  This set is part of a suite which also includes the Country Lane Designer Series Paper (LOVE it!), 3/16" Braided Linen Trim (see it on this project!), Chicken Wire Element (cool stuff...wait 'til you see it!), Galvanized Metallic Paper (gets another LOVE IT from me!) and my very, very favorite Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  And this is just ONE of the many suites in this catalog!  (FYI, this is why I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator...I want it ALL!!  :)  Am I describing you?  Talk to me or your demonstrator about how YOU can become a demonstrator, see and pre-order from catalogs and get a discount on your purchases!)

To start this card, I stamped the milk can in StazOn black ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Next I stamped the florals "into" the can...because this set is photopolymer, it's super easy to line them up without having to mask!  I used the middle-sized tag from the Stitched Seasons framelits (available only until the end of August...don't miss this one!) and the Big Shot to cut out the image, then used Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color.  Doesn't that cotton look fantastic with the white watercolor pencil??!!  I brushed the edge of the tag with a sponge inked with Soft Suede and also flicked some ink from the Rich Razzleberry marker over the image.  I stamped the "hello" image in StazOn black onto a scrap of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and trimmed it out with Paper Snips before adhering it with glue dots to the front of the can.

The card base is Crumb Cake, layered on the right side with a piece of the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  Wait 'til you see this beautiful paper!!  It's printed in the deep, oh-so-rich colors of Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron and Old Olive, with a splash of Whisper White.  I love it, love it, love it!!

And then we get to my favorite part...that embossing folder, my very most favorite EVER.  For this project, I ran it through the Big Shot with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock...but wait until you see it in any of the metallic papers.  Oh my gosh, it's amazing!  To really pick up all the detail, I distressed it by rubbing a sponge inked in the Soft Suede over the embossed image.  You'll be able to distress it on the metallics, too...sooooo cool!

To finish up the card, I layered the tag onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a Braided Linen Trim bow with a Glue Dot.

Whew, sorry if I got a little carried away there...if you can't tell, I'm just really excited about this suite, and I hope you love it as much as I do!  Are you ready to move on to the next blog?  Just click on each link below and you'll be on your way!  Thank you so much for stopping by...we'll be back to hop again next month!

(This product showcase does not include the new products...they are not available until September 5!)

There's still a few more days to take advantage of Bonus Days!  For every $50 you spend in August, you'll receive a Bonus Days coupon code worth $5 which you can spend in September.  There's no limit to how many you can earn...and you can spend them next month when the new Holiday catalog is live!  :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share!

Until next time...happy stampin'!
