Sneak Peek at Incredible Like You

Sneak Peek at Incredible Like You

Hello stampin' friends!  For those of you who missed me for Sunday's Live...thank you for your patience...I am feeling better!  I still have a great project to share with you so be sure to tune in at Facebook.com/dalbee.pocketfullofstamps on Sunday at 3:00 pm!

I haven't had much time to get into my studio since I returned from OnStage.  I'm really missing being creative, and I have all these beautiful new things to play with and NO TIME!  That's got to be the worst.  I did finally pull out this pretty set and came up with a couple of project ideas that I want to share today  This set is called Incredible Like You.  It has a card project kit that it coordinates with, which is nice if you don't want to design cards yourself...the kit makes 16 gorgeous cards (four each of four designs) and when you're finished with the kit, you'll still have this adorable set to create even more with!

This first card is easy enough for a beginning stamper but I'm thinking it would appeal to my casual stampers because I added a couple of accessories.  This card is really quick and easy because I used pre-cut and scored cards that come with envelopes.

Begin by stamping the striped background on the card base with Balmy Blue ink.  Use the 2-1/4" circle punch to punch circles from Balmy Blue cardstock and Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink onto the Whisper White circle, placing image toward the top of the circle.  You will use two images to complete each flower.  Start by inking the background image in Daffodil Delight ink...stamp off onto scratch paper before stamping image under sentiment.  Repeat.  Now ink the second image in Daffodil Delight ink and stamp directly over first image and again for the second flower.

Layer the Whisper White circle over the Balmy Blue circle.  Attach a folded over piece of Whisper White 5/8" flax ribbon, then adhere to card base with stampin' dimensionals.  Finally, add a couple of the Gingham Gala adhesive-backed sequins.

The stamp set, ribbon and sequins will be available in the Occasions catalog beginning in January.  The other products I used are available now...

For the second card, I used the same set and colors but added the sweet, new Gingham Gala 6 x 6 designer series paper, and did some fussy cutting.

Begin by stamping three of the flowers in Grapefruit Grove ink onto Whisper White scrap paper.  Stamp four of the foliage pieces (also using two-step stamping) onto Whisper White scratch paper in Lemon Lime Twist ink, then fussy cut all pieces.  Punch a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the 2-1/4" punch and stamp sentiment in center with Balmy Blue ink.  Trim top and bottom of circle to create tag.

Cut a 1" strip of Grapefruit Grove checked DSP and clip each end to flag.  Cut a length of the Whisper White 5/8" flax ribbon and pull out individual strands to create white strings.  Loop and adhere to the back of sentiment piece, then attach to Grapefruit Grove DSP.

Layer Balmy Blue check DSP onto Balmy Blue card base.  Attach cut flower and foliage pieces to card base.  Attach sentiment piece with stampin' dimensionals.

To finish, attached three of the flower-shaped Gingham Gala adhesive-backed sequins to card front.  Finally, use an aqua painter with Balmy Blue ink to splatter over card front.

I added these products to the ones shown above for this card...

I'm going to love creating with this set, and as soon as it's available, I know you will, too!

Are you on my list to receive the new catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalog?  If you're not sure, send me a message and I'll make sure you receive one!

Until next time...happy stampin'!
