Happy Sunday stampin' friends!
I kind-of feel like I planned today's project backwards. Usually, I start with a stamp set, but today I actually started with the designer series paper I used in the background. I wanted to use something I hadn't had a chance to use yet and I found this really pretty piece of DSP in the Garden Impressions 6x6 paper stack and wondered how I could design a card with it. It came together so quick and easy that I thought it would be a great Simple Sunday project!
Once I chose the paper I wanted to use, looked through my stamp sets to see what I could use with it and settled on the Stitched All Around stamp set and coordinating Stitched Labels framelits. I pulled two colors used in the DSP, Soft Sea Foam and Blueberry Bushel, then used framelits and the Big Shot to cut them. The stamp image is stamped in Blueberry Bushel onto Whisper White cardstock and also cut with a framelit and the Big Shot.
Before layering the pieces onto the DSP, I ran a piece of Blueberry Bushel 1/4" ribbon through the holes on either end of the larger cutout and secured the ends to the back of the DSP before attaching it to the Whisper White thick cardstock card base. The other two cutout pieces were then attached on top and I tied a bow with the ribbon on the left side.
To finish it up, I glued a couple of sequins with fine-tip glue. (They look pink in the picture, but they're actually iridescent.) See, quick and easy! :)
Just a few more days until the Holiday catalog goes live...have you made your list yet?
