Today's project really proves that you don't have to spend a lot of time to produce a sweet card. This would even be an easy card to make multiples of...BOOM! Christmas cards done. *smile* I also like using non-traditional colors on my Christmas cards sometimes, just to mix things up!
Step by Step
To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Soft Sky (card base)
4" x 5-1/4" So Saffron
3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
Scrap Soft Sky (large enough for tree), scrap So Saffron (for star), scrap Whisper White (for sentiment)
1) Stamp tree on to Soft Sky cardstock using Soft Sky ink. Stamp star on to So Saffron cardstock using So Saffron ink. Use Big Shot and framelits to cut out images. Apply Fine-Tip glue to the boughs on the tree, then dust with clear mica flakes.
2) Use a sponge dauber to lightly sponge edge of Fancy Frost DSP using Soft Sky ink. Stamp sentiment on to scrap Whisper White cardstock using Soft Sky ink. Clip "v" into each end. Curl ends slightly, then adhere to bottom of DSP. Adhere DSP to So Saffron cardstock, then onto card base.
3) Adhere star to top of tree, then adhere tree to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
These are the products I used for this project:
