Good morning, stampin' friends! It's time for another Simple Sunday project! This card was a project from my recent Christmas Stamp-A-Stack class. I am a big fan of full cover background stamps--just "search" my gallery to see how many times I've used the Hardwood stamp! I love that they create a beautiful background in a snap! And the Merry Tags Framelits are a must-have for quick, beautiful tags...they make lovely tags for cards (like this one), or tags for gifts!
Tips & Tricks
- Do you struggle with using background stamps because of their size? The easiest way I've found to use them is to lay the block image side up and ink it from the top. I then lay my paper down on top of the inked image, lay a piece of scratch paper over the top and rub, making sure to put pressure over the entire image. Remove the scratch paper and your cardstock and viola! It's much easier to make sure your image is straight this way, and its easier--for me, at least--to get good, even pressure over the entire image.
- A circle punch made cutting the copper piece behind the tag super easy to cut! Add a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to the back and you'll see pretty copper shininess through the cut-out tree image on this tag.
I used the following products on this project:
