Simple Sunday - It's All About the Paper

Simple Sunday - It's All About the Paper

Happy Sunday stampers!  As you know, my Sunday projects are always super quick and easy...I think today's project is about the easiest ever!  The highlight is the beautiful Petal Promenade designer series paper...I just added a single stamp image, a bow and a couple of sequins.

You'll find the Petal Promenade designer series paper on page 190 of the 2017-18 Stampin' Up! catalog.  I think this might just be one of the prettiest papers we've ever seen in our catalog!  One side of each 12 x 12 piece is an absolutely gorgeous photographic floral design, while the other side has either a marble design (also photographic!) or texture.  Two of the pieces have several floral frames on them that can be cut out...I used paper snips to cut out one of them for the focal point on this card.  To give it a little bit of dimension, I gently rolled the edges slightly to make them stand away from the next layer, which is a piece of the marble print.  Finally, it's layered onto a Sahara Sand card base.

The stamp image is the sentiment in the center, stamped in Tranquil Tide's from the Detailed With Love set found on page 39.  This is a nice all-around set with several sentiments including a birthday and thank you, and some fun detail pieces.  It is available in either wood or clear mount and this year it's available as a bundle with the Detailed Trio punch.

To finish it up, I added a Whisper White baker's twine bow and a couple of the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Just look at the detail on that can almost smell the flowers and feel the cold, smooth surface of the marble!  :)

The Petal Promenade designer series paper is one of the beautiful papers you can choose in the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE! sale currently going on until the end of July.  It's a great time to stock up on your favorites!  For additional information on the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE! sale, click HERE.

I'll have another project to share with you on Tuesday so I hope you'll come back to visit!
