I hope you've been enjoying this blog so far...I'm having so much fun coming up with the projects and writing the blogs! A few posts back I mentioned that when I had small children at home, I had a general rule of thumb when creating projects: If it can't be made in five minutes or less, it won't get made. As I said, since I don't have small children at home anymore, that rule has become very lax. *smile* Some of you viewing my blog may still need quick and easy cards so I've decided that Sundays will become Simple Sunday...the project I post on Sunday will be something you can recreate quickly and easily! I didn't really decide this until after I chose the project I am showing today...it DOES fit into the "easy" category for me but if you struggle with watercolor, it might be a little tricky. I do promise from now on though, that Sunday's project will always be something that can be easily recreated by stampers at all levels!
The set I used for this project, Love You Lots, is a hostess set. If you like this set, contact me via e-mail and we'll talk about how you can get it.
To recreate this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:
4-1/4" x 11" Crumb Cake cardstock (card base)
2-1/2" x 4-1/4" Rose Red cardstock
2-1/4" x 4-1/4" Watercolor paper
1) Stamp hedgehogs in Basic Black ink onto Watercolor paper. Use an aqua painter to watercolor image using Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Tip Top Taupe ink pads. Layer onto Rose Red cardstock. Wrap linen thread three times around hedgehog piece on left side, tying a bow in front.
2) Stamp background images in Crumb Cake ink onto card base front. Layer hedgehog piece onto card front. Stamp sentiment in Basic Black.
I used these products for this project:
Until next time...happy stampin'!
