Simple Sunday - Half Full

Simple Sunday - Half Full

Today's Simple Sunday project is one we'll be making at a workshop later today, featuring the Half Full stamp set from the 2017 Holiday catalog.  This set is so much fun!

Keeping in mind that I wanted to keep it simple, I chose only two colors for this project:

I think Crumb Cake is right up there as one of my favorite colors...when I need a neutral, it's usually the one I pull.  And Fresh Fig....seriously, is there a better wine color?  Even with just two colors, it's easy to create an attractive card by adding layers and texture.

To achieve the background on this card, I stamped the wine glasses at the bottom first, using Basic Black ink.  I then put the cardstock into the embossing folder with the glasses outside the folder so they will  not be part of the embossed image, and ran it through the Big Shot.

The focal point image was stamped on to Crumb Cake using Basic Black ink, then fussy cut (it's mostly straight lines so it was easy to cut out!).  To add the color onto the grapes and the wine glasses, I used the Fresh Fig and Pear Pizzazz ink pads with a Blender pen.

I added a bow made of Jute Twine and a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals to layer the sentiment piece onto the background, then layered the whole thing onto a Crumb Cake card front.  Super easy, and still a fun card!

I used the following products on this project:

I hope you take a little time to stamp something pretty today!

Until next time...happy stampin'!
