Happy Sunday stampin' friends! Today's quick and easy project features a stamp image from the Christmas Pines stamp set. After putting the rest of this card together using some of the beautiful, copper embossed Joyous Noel Specialty designer series papers, I needed the perfect sentiment so I went back to one of my favorites from last year's holiday catalog. In addition to this sentiment, the set includes some pretty pine and pine cone pieces and coordinates with the Pretty Pines thinlits. You can check it out in the showcase below, or see it in the annual catalog on page 96. It's definitely one of those classic sets that be used year after year for beautiful holiday projects!
I built this card from the back up, starting with a Sahara Sand card base. The two coordinating pieces of designer series paper were layered onto a piece of copper foil. Before securing it to the card base, I ran a piece of Crumb Cake ribbon across the front to cover the seam created by the two DSP pieces, securing the ribbon to the back, then adhered the piece to the card base. I used another small piece of the ribbon to tie a simple knot on the front of the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Merry Merlot ink. The left edge is clipped to flag it and the right edge is lined up with the DSP.
I love that "quick and easy" can still be elegant!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday...I hope you take time to stamp something pretty!
