Ribbon of Courage

Ribbon of Courage

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I want to make sure to use the beautiful Ribbon of Courage set at least a couple of times.  This set has coordinating framelits, Support Ribbon, and they are available separately or as a bundle this year.  I really like the way today's project came together.

The ribbon is heat embossed using VersaMark ink and silver embossing powder onto Glossy White cardstock.  I used Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirouette, Powder Pink, Melon Mambo and Soft Sky Stampin' Write markers to color the image.  I love the markers on Glossy White cardstock because it stays shiny!  The sentiment is also embossed with silver onto Glossy White, then both pieces were cut with framelits (Support Ribbon and Stitched Shapes).

I used Embossing Paste on the Blushing Bride cardstock background, adding a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the paste before spreading for some extra sparkle.  I found some tiny, lidded jars at Dollar Tree (8 for $1) which are perfect for mixing things like glitter or color with just a little bit of paste for a project!  After it was dry, everything was layered onto a Sweet Sugarplum card front.

I used the following products on this card:

Until next time...happy stampin'!
