Hello my stampin' friends! I'm frantically trying to get ready for convention...it is currently 5:05 pm on Wednesday evening and I'm leaving at 2:30 am...I still haven't even begun to pack! I wanted to make sure I had some cards to swap with other demonstrators and I really wanted to make sure I had some things ready to post for you over the next few days! I'm planning to post some pictures of my Stampin' Up! OnStage adventures to my Pocket Full of Stamps facebook page (you can follow me at www.facebook.com/dalbee.pocketfullofstamps) or Instagram (Pocketfullofstamps)! Once I get there, I know it's going to be fabulous, but I'm still in the running-around-like-a-chicken-with-my-head-cut-off stage! (Just breathe...)
I stamped the card I'm sharing today a few days ago and I thought it turned out so pretty! I'm sure someone, somewhere has done it before, but I wanted to see what would happen if I heat embossed our foil paper. Guess what? It works beautifully! Two of the leaves are embossed (one with copper and one with gold) and the others are cut from various foil colors. Once all the leaves were done, I layered them onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and then onto a piece of the Wood Textures DSP.
The ribbon is the 1/4" copper trim. This stuff is sooooo cool! You can use it just as it comes off the spool, or you can pull at it, making it wider and giving it lots more texture. I love it! I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink, and finished it up by layering everything onto an Always Artichoke card front.
I used the following products on this project:
Until next time...happy stampin'!
