Hey stampin' friends! The next two weeks are going to be really busy for me...I usually only work about 16 hours at my job but I'm working a LOT more this week and next. I'm planning ahead to make sure I have things posted for you though! I already had this card stamped and slotted for today so, after Sunday's surprise Blog Hop featuring this set, I hope you don't mind another one! You can never have too many ideas for a great set anyway, am I right? :)
I love this card using the Blended Seasons stamp set. The colors are so soft and pretty, and this piece from the Wood Textures Designer Series Papers has always been my favorite! Do you have the Blended Seasons set on your wish list yet?
To create the wreath for this card, I did something a little different when adding the color...
First, I stamped the image five times in Black StazOn ink onto Watercolor Paper.
Next, I used the Aqua Painter and ink from the Pear Pizzazz lid to watercolor around the entire image. When it's cut, the extra color outside the lines will make the wreath look fuller.
To finish each piece up, I used ink from the Mossy Meadow lid and just highlighted a few of the leaves. When everything was cut out and assembled, it gives a beautiful variation to the leaves! (Ooops, my pictures show Old Olive ink but I did actually use Mossy Meadow!)
Once the images were dry, I fussy cut them out and set them aside while I prepared the background. The card base is Crumb Cake, followed by a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock and finally that beautiful Wood Textures DSP. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock. I clipped the left edge to flag it and layered it in the bottom right corner.
To complete the card, I laid out the leaf pieces to form the wreath, then applied some glue dots to hold it together before adhering it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to the wreath and finished it up with a Linen Thread bow.
