I get really excited about some of the craziest things...for example, today I went shopping with a good friend for props for my card photos. I like to use different things to keep my photos fresh and fun and props help! I found all kinds of treasures but I think my favorite is going to be this old, rusty 1932 California license plate. I LOVE the rustiness, the texture, the antiquiness of it all! I may have to force myself to use other things just for variety!
Oh, and I made a fun card, too! *smile*
I actually made the paper that I cut the tag from a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to recreate a background similar to some of the paper that came in our August Paper Pumpkin kit. I didn't really like the way it turned out as a big piece, but when I finally decided to use it and cut it down, I was much happier with it. I've also decided that I really like adding touches of gold in with fall colors!
Step by Step
To complete this project, you'l need cardstock cut to the following sizes:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Cajun Craze (card base)
4" x 5-1/4" Chocolate Chip
2" x 4-1/4" Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper
2" x 4-1/2" Cajun Craze (to cut "thanks")
3" x 3-1/2" Very Vanilla (for tag)
1) Open up Old Olive and Cajun Craze stamp pads. Smear pads directly onto Very Vanilla cardstock to create background. Stamp trees in Basic Black. Cut tag with Big Shot and Tags & Labels thinlits, and thanks using Hello You thinlits and Cajun Craze cardstock.
2) Stamp hardwood image on to Chocolate Chip cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink. Layer onto card base. Adhere a small piece of gold foil doily to the backside of DSP, then adhere on to card front on left side. Adhere tag onto card front.
3) Adhere sequins, linen bow and "thanks" using Fine-Tip Glue.
I used the following products on this project:
Until next time...happy stampin'!
