Hello stampin' friends! I'm trying something new today....participating in a blog hop! I've actually done this only one other time and it was a lot of fun, but I'm looking forward to participating in the Ink & Inspiration blog hop on the fourth Thursday of every month so be watching for it!
This month's theme is "Sorry, Sympathy or Get Well". Here's my card:
I've wanted to use the Artistically Asian stamp set on a blog project for awhile and today seemed like the perfect occasion. The sentiment I used (which may be a little hard to read in the photo) "Friendship multiplies joy and divides sorrows, seemed appropriate for this theme.
To create this card, I started with a piece of watercolor paper, which I cut with one of the Stitched Shapes framelits. I used an aqua painter with Crumb Cake ink to watercolor the background. When it was dry, I stamped the bamboo image using Tranquil Tide ink, then wrapped copper metallic thread around the bottom part of the square several times, securing it on the back.
The sentiment was inked with VersaMark pad and heat embossed with copper embossing powder onto Tranquil Tide cardstock.
Both the watercolor square and the sentiment piece were layered onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock which I ran through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling embossing folder. This piece was then layered onto a piece of copper foil, before finally being layered onto a Tranquil Tide card front.
I used the following products on this project:

Until next time...happy stampin'!
