From the very first time I saw the This Little Piggy stamp set, it has been one of my very favorites. Not that I'm a huge lover of pigs (show me any dog and I'm immediately in love!), but these little pigs are just so happy and positive...and completely adorable!
Aren't they absolutely sweet?
For today's project, I started with a piece of watercolor paper. I wanted to create a very soft background piece to stamp the pig on, so I used an aqua painter with Daffodil Delight, Powder Pink and Soft Sky ink pads to randomly add color to the paper. When I was done, I blotted it with a paper towel which pulled most of the ink off the paper, leaving just a hint of color. Once the paper was dry, I inked the piggy in Basic Black and stamped her, added some clear Wink of Stella to her wings and cheeks, then cut the circle with the Stitched Shapes framelits.
The ombre background seriously could not be any easier. It's a piece from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack...I love how the color fades from dark to light! I wanted some texture on it, so I ran it through the Big Shot using the Garden Trellis embossing folder. I also cut it a little short so that I could stamp the "...so she did" sentiment at the bottom of the card.
I finished it all off with the Berry Burst crinkled seam binding...this ribbon is the best! It has such a fun, rumpled texture and it ties beautifully! (My secret wish is that it was available in more than just four of our colors.)
What would YOU stamp with these little piggys?
