This is it….my very first blog post! It’s a little nerve wracking, but I’m jumping in with my eyes wide open! I have so many plans, I can’t wait to see where this goes! Welcome! I hope you stop by here often!
As I’ve been preparing to launch my website, I’ve been wondering what I wanted to share in my very first post. So many options!! I finally decided to finish up the project I started in my header picture above. When I started it, I had a totally different picture in my head of how I would finish it….and the project I ended up with was nothing like that. Even as I’m looking at it finished, I’m thinking I should have tweaked a thing here or there but isn’t that just the way it goes with stamping?!
The set I used, Bella & Friends, is one of my very favorite sets from the new catalog. I say “one”, because there are soooooo many fun new images, but I am a lover of all dogs—I have three of my own, plus two grand dogs who occasionally stay with me--so Bella is very high up on my list of new favorites!
The image is stamped on watercolor paper, then water colored with stamp pads and an aqua painter. I also used a bit of clear Touch of Stella to add some shimmer to the balloon and Bella’s collar. If you’ve never seen Touch of Stella in person, I highly recommend that you add one to your next order. Pictures just do not do this product justice! I love the little bit of shimmer it adds to any project. We actually have two thinlits die sets with clouds in them but wouldn’t you know I don’t have either of them yet (they are on my list!!)….so I hand cut some clouds. A bit of doily, a piece of Serene Scenery DSP and a die cut Hello (from the Hello You thinlits set) and my card is finished!
Thanks so much for stopping by….I hope you stop by to visit me again soon!
Until next time…happy stampin’!
