Today I'm posting another great card idea using the Merry Cafe set, which also happens to be the set I'm featuring in this month's Stampin' Class To-Go. If you haven't tried one of my Class To-Go kits, I would like to recommend it! Each month, I feature a stamp set and design four projects using it. When you place a qualifying order through me, I'll send you a PDF file with instructions and all the projects, pre-cut and ready for you to stamp!
There are so many fun things you can do with this set, and today's card, along with the four I'll send in the Stampin' Class To-Go will give you a great start on project ideas! For all the information you need on my October Stampin' Class To-Go, click HERE.
I started this card by watercoloring with Tangerine Tango and an Aqua Painter onto watercolor paper. I ran a piece of Early Espresso cardstock through the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and layered a small piece of that over the watercolor. The leaf tag is also stamped on to a small scrap of watercolor paper and colored with Tangerine Tango ink.
The cup was stamped in Basic Black ink on to a piece of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (I LOVE this paper, seriously...almost as much as my favorite Woodgrain DSP! Don't forget to stock up on DSPs during our Buy 3, Get 1 FREE sale this month....info HERE.) I also used Basic Black ink for the lid and sentiment, stamping them onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
The lid, cup, tag and cup sleeve were all cut with the Coffee Cup framelits and the sentiment was cut using one of the Layering Ovals framelits. After all the pieces were put together onto the watercolored piece, it was layered onto a piece of Cajun Craze, then onto an Early Espresso card front.
I used the following products on this project:
Until next time...happy stampin'!
