A little bonus for today! I decided I'd like to play along with the Global Design Project so I spent some time in my stampin' room working on my idea. The challenge this week is to use these colors on a project:
Great colors, but not ones I would have thought to put together...so the challenge was on! I think the hardest part was trying to decide what set I wanted to use! I ended up using Wonderful Year from the Holiday Catalog. Not traditional Christmas colors at all but I was really pleased with the outcome!
To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Night of Navy (card base)
4" x 5-1/4" Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate
2-3/4" x 4-1/4" Gold Glimmer
2-1/2" x 4" Watercolor paper
1) Stamp sentiment in Versamark ink and heat emboss with Gold embossing powder. Use the masking technique I shared earlier today to mask Watercolor paper with washi tape, then watercolor over embossed image with an Aqua Painter and a Watermelon Wonder ink pad. When dry, carefully remove tape and layer onto Gold Glimmer paper.
2) Layer Gold Glimmer paper over center of Acetate. Turn to back side and apply adhesive only where it will be covered when layered. Adhere to card base.
3) Wrap Watermelon Wonder 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon around card front and tie a knot. Glue three gold sequins to card front.
These are the products I used for this project:
You can play along too...just go to Global Design Project!
Until next time...happy stampin'!
