Global Design Project #GDP054

This week over at the Global Design Project, the challenge is to do a project with this fun sketch by Teneale Williams:

I immediately thought about how great the tree from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies would fit on the banner...and I can't get enough of that Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper moon. I did recently use this set for a blog post project but I think it's good to see more ways to use the same set...even if it's just changing the layout!

Step by Step

To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:

4-1/4" x 11 Basic Gray (card base)

4" x 5-1/4"  Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper

2" x 3-3/4" Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper

3/4" x 4" Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper

1" x 2-1/2" Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper

Scraps big enough to cut tree (Basic Gray) and pumpkins (Tangerine Tango) and to punch moon (Pumpkin Pie Glimmer)

1)  Stamp pumpkins on to Tangerine Tango cardstock using Smoky Slate ink (I stamped off onto scratch paper first so that my image is very light).  Stamp "Trick or Treat" over stamped pumpkins image using Basic Black ink.  Use Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies and Big Shot to cut out pumpkins and tree.

2)  Use Banner Triple punch to punch "v" into both the 2" x 3-3/4" Halloween Night DSP and the 1" x 2-1/2" Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  Layer Glimmer banner under DSP banner so that about 1/4" shows (I used Tear & Tape Adhesive...glimmer paper can be tricky to get to stick!).  Adhere banner to 4" x 5-1/4" Halloween Night DSP toward left side, matching up top edges.  Adhere 3/4" x 4" Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to top edge of DSP.  Wrap twine twice around top and tie a bow on the left side.

3)  Punch moon using 1-1/4" circle punch.  Adhere to banner under Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  Adhere tree, trimming at the bottom to line up with banner edges.  Adhere pumpkins.  Adhere entire piece to card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

These are the products I used on this project:
