Glamper Birthday

Glamper Birthday

My sister's birthday is coming up and she LOVES camping, so I'm getting a jump start by having her birthday card done early...shhhh!  Don't tell her!  I love the bright, cheerful colors of the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper so I pulled all those colors into today's project.  This card also has lots of dimension, which makes it extra fun!

Step by Step

To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:

5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Tempting Turquoise (card base)

4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock

3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper

3" x 4" Watercolor paper

2" x 3-1/4" Watercolor paper (for trailer)

Scrap Watercolor paper for balloons and banner

1)  Stamp sun and tree trunk images in Basic Black ink on to 3" x 4" Watercolor paper.  Use Aqua Painter to watercolor sun, tree and background using Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise and Cucumber Crush.  After paper dries, stamp leaves on tree with Cucumber Crush ink, and Happy Birthday with Basic Black ink.  Stamp trailer on to 2" x 3-1/4" Watercolor paper, and balloons and banner onto scrap Watercolor paper using Basic Black ink.  Watercolor using Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise and Smoky Slate.  Allow to dry, then fussy cut all images.

2)  Layer Watercolor background piece to center of Festive Birthday DSP, then onto Whisper White, and finally onto Tempting Turquoise card base.

3)  Adhere camper to background piece using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere balloons using Mini Glue Dots (after I cut this piece out, I watercolored the remaining white space with Daffodil Delight.  After adhering it to the trailer, I used a black marker to draw in the lines on the trailer behind the balloon strings).  Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere banner from trailer to tree top.
