It's my day to play along with the Global Design Project and I have to say that I LOVE this card! I've been playing with this set for the past couple of days because I'm featuring it in my October Stampin' Class To-Go (come back October 1st for all the details...you won't want to miss it!). One of the projects for my class uses this same layout and I realized it was perfect for this week's sketch so I revamped it a little. Sometimes using a layout you really like in several ways is a easy way to jump start those creative juices! Here's the GDP sketch:
If you're looking for a set to cover a wide variety of seasons, the Coffee Cafe set is it! It's got Fall, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's and even Valentine's Day covered!
I started with the color pallet for this card:
I used the Layered Leaves Textured Embossing Folder for the background. This creates such a pretty piece no matter what color you use it with...it ties with Pinewood Planks as one of my favorites!
The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper was cut with one of the Lots of Labels framelits...along with a twist of linen thread and a bit of doily, it created the perfect backdrop for my apple cider cup. I finished it up with a few hand-cut leaves, stamped in Basic Black ink from various green cardstocks.
Doesn't it just make you want to start a pot of apple cider simmering on your stove? Yep, I'm definitely feeling fall-ish! I DO want you to add this delightful stamp set to your collection so please come back on October 1st to get all the details you need to order it and get my October Stampin' Class To-Go FREE!
I used the following products on this project:
Be sure to jump over to the Global Design Project this week to see all the creative ways this sketch was used!
Until next time...happy stampin'!
