GDP #079 - Carousel Birthday

GDP #079 - Carousel Birthday

I was so excited when I saw the challenge for this week's Global Design Project...I was excited because the card I was already planning to share fit right into the challenge!

This is another project we did at our Stamp Camp, and my favorite!  Everything about this project--the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP, watercolor pencil technique, images and colors--are all things I love!

To create the pretty watercolor background, we had our guests color lightly splotches of color with three of the watercolor pencils (Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Old Olive).  They then used an aqua painter to blend all the colors together.  I LOVE this look!  Once the piece was dry, they stamped the carousel horse in Basic Black ink.  Once they put all the pieces together, we had them add the spray of Gold Wink of Stella by gently squeezing the pen, then tapping it against a bone folder to release drops of pretty gold ink over their card.

It's still Sale-A-Bration time, which means for every $50 you spend, you can choose a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  The pretty gold and cream ribbon we used on this project is one of those free items...and it's actually a two-pack of ribbon!  Don't miss out on all the freebies while they are still available!!  There are already a couple of items SOLD don't wait 'til the end of the month to get your order in!  Please contact me if you have any questions.

Be sure to head over to the Global Design Project this week to see all the wonderful projects done with this fun theme, and submit a project of your own!

Love the watercolor wash over the carousel horse. What I love best about this week’s challenge is seeing all the ways people are using this great stamp set. Thanks for playing along with Global Design Project.
