Farmhouse Christmas

Farmhouse Christmas

Hello stampin' friends!  It seems like I've been posting a lot of Christmas card ideas...I just can't help myself!  There are so many great Christmas sets available to us this year and I want to use them all!  Today I'm using one of my favorites (hmmm, do I say that a lot??  I think they're ALL my favorites!), Farmhouse Christmas.  I've used this adorable set a couple of times already but I really wanted to get that cute truck image inked up!  Speaking of using a set before, did you know you can click on My Gallery and "search" for a stamp set, tool or technique?  If I've used it before, any and all will come up to give you more ideas!

I loved the images in the set from the first time I saw it but what I HAD TO HAVE was the fence in the Farmhouse framelits dies!  Soooooo cute!  I saved myself a little bit of time by cutting both the fence and the tree from Wood Textures designer series paper...perfect texture and I didn't have to do a thing except stamp the tree in black Memento ink before cutting it out.

The truck and wreath are also stamped in black Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  Once the images were colored, I ran them through the Big Shot with their coordinating framelits to cut them out.

I built the focal scene on a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock.  I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock the same width, then tore it into three pieces, which I layered to create the snow mounds, tucking the tree, fence and truck into them.  To give it all a glisten of sparkly snow, I splattered Wink of Stella over the entire piece, then layered it onto Smoky Slate cardstock.

The two background designer series papers are from the Festive Farmhouse collection and layered onto a Mossy Meadow card base.  To finish it up, the sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut with that beautiful stitched framelit from the Farmhouse framelits dies, then adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope to be back with a project tomorrow....Fridays have been a little crazy around this place.  I already have a project lined up for Saturday when I'll be participating in the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop, and I'll be sharing a scrapbook page for the Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop as well!  Also, you'll find me at doing a Facebook Live Stamp Class on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm (PST).  Come stamp with me, I'd love to have you!
