I LOVE the Serene Scenery background paper stack. I used it today on this project and it came together so quickly, I almost feel like I cheated. Seriously, these papers are so beautiful...if you don't have them in your collection, you should think about adding them!
Step by Step
To complete this project, you'll need cardstock cut to the following sizes:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Tip Top Taupe (card base)
4" x 5-1/4" Early Espresso
3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper
Scrap Tip Top Taupe (for sentiment)
1) Stamp sentiment (two images from Sweet Cupcake set) on to Tip Top Taupe scrap using Early Espresso ink. Clip "v" in to each end, then use a sponge dauber to lightly sponge around edges with Early Espresso ink. Wrap gold metallic thread a few times around two fingers. Remove thread, twist in to a figure-8 and attach to back side of sentiment piece. Attach a small piece of gold metallic doily to back side of sentiment piece.
2) Use a sponge dauber to sponge edge of card base with Early Espresso ink. Layer Early Espresso cardstock on to card base, then layer Serene Scenery DSP. Attach sentiment piece to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Use fine-tip glue to attach gold sequins.
These are the products I used on this project:
