Coffee Cafe

Coffee Cafe

Happy day, stampers!  So, how often do you remember seeing my hand holding a project?  Like, never....right?  Here's the back story for today:  I got a couple of new baby chicks yesterday so one of the lights I use to take pictures is currently being used to keep them warm.  It's a nice day out today so I thought I'd just take my pictures outside, no biggie.  Except I didn't take the wind into account...I couldn't keep my card standing up long enough to photograph it!  And there you have it...aren't you glad you know?  :)

Except for having to adjust my photography today, I'm really happy with this card!  I'm using yet another stamp set (Coffee Cafe) currently bundled with a framelit set (Coffee Cups) that will only be available AS a bundle until the end of May.  I'm very happy these products are being continued into next year's catalog because they have become some of my favorites!

Did you notice that I used some DSP you may or may not have seen yet?  This is a little preview of some GORGEOUS paper coming out in the catalog in June...but guess what??!!  You'll be able to get it next month in a special, pre-release from Stampin' Up!  I'll have more information on that coming up soon!

I started this card by using the Big Shot and framelits to cut the pieces for the coffee cup.  The cup itself is cut from the new Share What You Love Specialty designer series paper.  I cut the sleeve and stopper from a returning In-Color called Mint Macaron (I'm happy to see it returning, I loved this color!) and the lid is cut from Rich Razzleberry.  I pieced the cup together and tied a linen thread bow around it.

The first layer under the cup is Crumb Cake.  I stamped the sentiment and the coffee stains (you'll find this image in the Timeless Textures stamp set) using Early Espresso ink (the coffee stains are inked, stamped on scratch paper, then stamped onto the Crumb Cake for a lighter image).  The next layer is Rich Razzleberry, followed by another piece of the Share What You Love DSP, all finally attached to an Early Espresso card front.

Of course, I added a splatter of Wink of Stella to finish it off.  I really can't help myself when it comes to Wink of Stella...it just seems like the perfect finish to EVERY card!

If you plan to add this set and framelits to your collection, be sure to order it before end end of May so you can save 10% purchasing it as a bundle!  :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another project for you!
