Hello stampin' friends! Hope your Friday is going well and you're looking forward to something fun this weekend!
I wanted to try something on today's project that I've seen around...it's the fun background I used for this card. It's so easy to do...I just cut 3/4" strips from scraps of the Wood Textures DSP then glued them down onto a piece of cardstock. I love the way it looks and it's a fun way to use up scrap DSP. I thought it would look great with the fox from the Birthday Delivery set!
I stamped and fox and the flag with Memento ink onto watercolor paper, then used an Aqua Painter and ink from the lids of Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze to water color the images. I also used a new In-Color, Blueberry Bushel, for his overalls...I'm going to love this blue! After the pieces dried, I cut them with the coordinating dies. The "Birthday Greetings" image was also stamped in Memento ink onto a piece of Wood Textures DSP, then cut out with one of the Stitched Shapes framelits.
I layered all the pieces onto the background piece, then adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler card base. It was pretty quick!
The Birthday Delivery stamp set and coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits Dies are currently available in a bundle which also includes the adorable Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper until the end of May. They are all retiring and will not be included in the new catalog so if they're on your wish list, you'll want to order them soon!
I'm looking forward to Sunday when I'll be back posting a Simple Sunday project for you!
Until next time...happy stampin'!
