Hello stampers! I have another super fun project to share with you today featuring the Bike Ride stamp set and coordinating Build A Bike framelits. In keeping with my posts the past few days, this is another combination that is currently bundled in this catalog. Both products are carrying over to the new catalog but will not be available at the bundled price, which saves you 10%. There are 24 pieces in this photopolymer stamp set for lots of versatility!
I love the color combination of this card! Pink and black together always pop and I LOVE the Melon Mambo paired with Lemon Lime Twist! And then I threw in a bit of Wood Textures DSP (because you know it's my favorite so why not??) and finished it all up on an Early Espresso card base.
I have to admit that I was a little intimidated by the bike itself, thinking it was going to be hard to put together but it is super easy! I stamped all the pieces on Whisper White scrap paper: the frame is stamped in Melon Mambo, the tires and spokes (one piece) are stamped in Basic Black and the rim is also stamped in Melon Mambo. Once the pieces were cut out with the Big Shot and framelits, I just put a mini glue dot in the center of each wheel and laid the frame on top...easy peasy! The flowers are actually three stamps...super easy to line up because they are clear...I stamped the outline image first in Basic Black, followed by the leaves, stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and finally the flowers, stamped in Daffodil Delight. I die cut them along with the basket (cut from Silver Foil).
I layered the bike onto the Wood Texture oval I cut with the Big Shot and one of the Stitched Shapes framelits, then added the basket and flowers with a couple of mini stampin' dimensionals.
I think the Simple Stripes embossing folder is my new favorite. I love it because it's simple but adds just the right amount of texture to a background. On this card, I used it with a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
The happy birthday is stamped in Melon Mambo on a strip of Whisper White cardstock. I added a twist of silver metallic thread under it to bring in a bit more silver to tie in with the basket.
Finally, it's all laid onto an Early Espresso card base!
Hope you're having a great, stampin' day! :)
Until next time...happy stampin'!
