Beautiful Laser-Cut Paper and Gold Elegance

Beautiful Laser-Cut Paper and Gold Elegance

Hello stampin' friends!  So far, I'm plugging away at work with all these extra hours, but I'm really looking forward to next week when I go back to my regular schedule.  "Work" is cutting into my stamping time...I'm much happier when I get my stamping time.  It's good therapy!  :)

Did you get a chance to watch the Card Quickie video I posted on Friday?  I ask, because it's kind-of related to today's card!  If you haven't seen it yet, you can click HERE to watch it.  Sooooo, that piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper that I used as the stencil?  I couldn't let it go to waste so it became the beautiful background on this card!

I started with the piece of laser-cut paper that was already sponged in Early Espresso, and layered it onto one of the lighter pieces of Wood Textures DSP.  Those pieces were then layered onto a piece of Gold Foil and finally onto an Early Espresso card base.

Since I already had the Love What You Do stamp set out for my other card, I chose this pretty sentiment and stamped it onto Early Espresso using the VersaMark pad, heat embossed with gold powder, then punched it out with the Everyday Label punch.  I applied some adhesive to the back so that I could add a twist of Gold Metallic Thread and the bit of Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon.  To finish it up, I adhered the label with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Don't you just love it?  I do!   And I was most excited that I basically got two cards out of one stamping project!  :)
