Hey stampin' friends! Are you as excited as I am that the 2018 Holiday catalog is now live?! Do you have a copy? If not, I'll be happy to send you one if you're in the US, just contact me! (If you're outside the US, let me help you find a demonstrator in your area!)
So I'm not a big fan of Halloween but I just couldn't pass up this adorable stamp set called Trick or Tweet. I love all the little animals dressed in costumes...it makes me smile! I also realize that it's barely September but you know how it works in Stamp Land...we have to think ahead to what's coming up! :)
Because I wanted to give it a little time to dry, I started this card with the background. I added a couple drops of Pumpkin Pie ink to some shimmery embossing paste and mixed it well, then applied it to the Smoky Slate card base with a stencil and pallette knife.
While that was drying, I used the Big Shot and one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut a Whisper White circle. The dog is stamped in black Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends. The two background DSP strips are from the Nature's Poem collection. I clipped the ends to flag them with paper snips. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White using black Memento ink.
Once the background was dry (it only takes a couple of minutes), I layered the two DSP strips and the sentiment with SNAIL adhesive. I added some SNAIL to the back of the circle and adhered a couple loops of Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature's Twine collection, then attached it to the card front with Stampin' dimensionals.
To finish it up, I added a splash of Wink of Stella and also a few flecks from the tip of my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write marker.
I have another great project planned to share tomorrow so I hope you'll come back and visit!
