Happy Thursday, stampers! It's been a crazy week for me with no sign of slowing down for another couple of weeks. I keep telling myself, "I think I can, I think I can..."....but I'll be happy to be done with all my projects!
I was really happy with the way today's project turned out! I love pink and black together...they don't seem like they would complement each other but they always remind of me of candy store for some reason!
I started this card by cutting Whisper White cardstock with one of the Stitched Shapes ovals and the Big Shot. Most of the time I stamp first, then cut but for this one, I wanted to make sure I stamped the images in the right place to fit so it seemed best to cut first. The little floral spray is from the Lots of Lavender Sale-A-Bration set and is two-step--I stamped the outline in Smoky Slate, then filled in the flowers and leaves with Daffodil Delight, Powder Pink and Pear Pizzazz. The congratulations is from the Petal Palette stamp set...I really love the variety of sentiments and greetings in this set...and that FONT! I added a bit of Wink of Stella over the flowers and a bit of doily to the back to finish up that piece.
The rest was easy! The card base is Whisper White thick cardstock with a layer of Powder Pink and a piece of DSP from the Petal Passion collection, finished up with a piece of Powder Pink ribbon.
Sale-A-Bration is winding down...just two more weeks left! I'm always a little sad when it's over...I love being able to give away free items when you order! Starting today, Stampin' Up! has added several catalog items to the list of free things you can now choose!
Make sure to take advantage of FREE before Sale-a-Bration is over on March 31st! And don't forget you'll get the added bonus of a chance to win a Stamparatus with every $50 you spend until the end of March! You can click HERE for more information on that!
