As I mentioned in my last post, I'm currently visiting my sisters in Texas for a few more days. My youngest sister, Pam, has come to enjoy stamping and today I'm sharing one of her creations.
The last time she visited me in California, I showed her how to use the Brusho Crystal Colour...she thought it was really neat so she added it to her stampin' stash. She was inspired by a card I posted a couple of months ago and this was her take on it. I love it!
She started by sprinkling the orange and yellow crystals onto watercolor paper, then spritzed the paper with some water to activate the crystals, and let it dry. She cut the butterfly from Basic Black cardstock using a framelit and the Big Shot. Once the watercolor paper was dry, she adhered the butterfly over the top...I LOVE the way the color shows through the black cutout! She has a lot of my retired stamps so the "hello" is not current, but you could really add any sentiment to this beautiful card!
The watercolor paper is layered onto Basic Black, with a layer of So Saffron and a card base cut from Pumpkin Pie. Didn't she do a great job?
I still have one more card to post before I go home on Friday....and then I'll be back to my regular posting schedule!
