A Birthday Brew

A Birthday Brew

Hey my stampin' friends!  I am soooo excited that the new catalog is now LIVE!  I went back to all my sneak peek posts and updated them so you can find product numbers if there's something you can't wait to order!  I've had a lot of questions about Brusho color crystals so I think that's going to be really popular!  I've used it on a couple of cards already...if you missed them, you can click HERE and HERE to see them!  I have an idea for a video which I'll shoot next week so be watching for it next Friday!

For today's project, I used the new Bubble Over bundle of stamp set and coordinating framelits to create the ultimate guy card!  This set has so much possibility and is really fun to play with.  I used a technique for the background that I made a video for a few weeks ago...if you missed it, here it is again.  I LOVE this background which uses embossing paste, and although it takes a little time, it isn't hard.

Once the background was finished, the rest of the card went together pretty quickly!  I inked the bottles using Early Espresso stamped onto Crumb Cake.  The labels were die cut from Real Red cardstock and the star image was stamped onto Whisper White with Crushed Curry ink, then punched out.  The greeting is two-step stamped onto Whisper White cardstock...the background is stamped with Crushed Curry (stamped off once before stamping onto the cardstock), and the sentiment is stamped on top with Real Red ink.  I love the die cut bottle caps cut from Copper foil sheets!

After all the pieces are die cut (sets with matching framelits are my favorite!), I layered them onto the brick background.  The final two layers are Real Red and an Early Espresso card base.

I used the following products on this project:
