Remember a couple of weeks ago when I posted a framed Christmas piece? (Don't feel bad if you don't remember...welcome to my world! You can click here to see it...). I held a customer class to make it and I ended up with some extra pieces, which I added to my little stash of "I'll use this at some point" pieces. This morning I was going through that stash and I thought these pieces would make some really pretty Christmas cards. I added a little bit of stamping on to a card front, some embossed vellum and some accessories and was really happy with the result!
Tips & Tricks
- I'm not sure you can see it very well in the photo, but there is a layer of vellum over the stamped card front. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Gently Falling embossing envelope and it is soooo pretty! When you adhere vellum to paper, because it's opaque, you can see adhesive through it....when I'm adhere it, I always "hide" the adhesive under something that covers it. For this project, the adhesive holding the vellum to the card front is hidden under the squares of cardstock and DSP.
- When you're adhering thin pieces, like the die cut Peace on this project, Fine-Tip Glue is perfect! It doesn't take much so use it sparingly!
